  • Alan J Stocks, DVM

    Dr. Stocks received his DVM degree from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine.  He was accepted into the program after 3 years in the pre-vet program at the University of Arkansas.  Initially, he worked at a 24 hour practice after graduation and gained a lot of emergency experience.  Later, he worked at 2 sister clinics for over 8 years.  He was able to develop his surgical skills significantly during that period.   The next part of his career involved a brief stint of relief work before purchasing the Addison Animal Hospital in May 2005.

    Dr. Stocks is a member of the CVMA, ISVMA, AVMA, and AAHA.  He is an avid sports fan.  In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, exercising, boating and fishing.

  • Margaret - Practice Manager

    Margaret has been working as part of our loving, caring, and compassionate staff for over 25 years.  She worked for 5 years with the previous owner (Dr. McLain) and stayed on board when Dr. Stocks, acquired the practice, and remained when Dr. Chouhan purchased the practice in April 2025.

    She graduated Harper College in 2023 with her Associate's Degree in Business Administration. Currently she is looking into the Practice Management program at Penn Foster to become a certified practice manager. 

    She is a single mother of 2 wonderful boys, Owen and Luke. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, reading, writing, and spending time with her kids as well as her pets. With her menagerie of animals at home, there is never a dull moment.  She has always enjoyed working with and taking care of animals.  She hopes to continue doing what she loves for many years to come.

    Jorge - Senior Veterinary Technician

    Jorge has worked full-time with us as a veterinary technician since 2007.  He initially gained experience in the veterinary field by working at the Anti-Cruelty Society in Chicago in 1992.  After that, he used his talents at the Blum Animal Hospital, also in Chicago, for 10 years.  He is fluent in Spanish and English.

    When he is not at the animal hospital, he likes to spend time with his wife Trisha, whom he married August of 2016, and his two beautiful daughter. Between his kids and his canine companions, Jasmne, Julian, and Roman Jr. Jorge is always on his toes. A fond lover of nature and wildlife, he can be found with his buddies at the dog park, or fishing, or camping.  He has saved many squirrels, geese, snakes, rabbits, frogs and owls and brought them to the Wildlife Center for rehabilitation.

  • Jessica- Veterinary Technician

    Jessica is a friendly, hardworking person with a big love for animals and a goal of going to veterinary school in the future. She enjoys being outdoors—whether she’s hiking, exploring new places, or just hanging out in the sunshine. She also loves traveling and is always excited to discover new places, cultures, and experiences.

    Whether she’s out in nature or on the road, you can usually find her with a camera in hand. Photography is one of her favorite ways to unwind and capture the things she loves, especially nature, animals, and the places she visits.

    Jessica brings a positive attitude, curiosity, and a love for learning to everything she does. She completed her undergraduate studies at Loyola University Chicago and went on to earn her MBA from Louisiana State University, accomplishments that reflect her dedication and drive. She’s always excited for new opportunities that help her grow and work toward her dream of becoming a vet.

  • Eliie-Veterinary Assistant

    Ellie joined our practice in June 2025 and brings a strong scientific background, holding a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Before entering the veterinary field, she worked in environmental research and supported lobbying efforts for small communities in Michigan—experiences that strengthened her commitment to animal and community care.

    Ellie is currently attending the College of DuPage and enrolled in Penn Foster as she works toward her veterinary school prerequisites. Outside of work, she enjoys writing, learning, and continually building new skills. Ellie is a passionate and analytical caregiver, dedicated to growing in the veterinary field for years to come.

  • Olha-Veterinary Assistant

    Olha is a veterinary assistant at the Addison Animal Hospital, where she supports the doctors during exams, treatments, and laboratory procedures.

    She has a strong interest in internal medicine and laboratory diagnostics, and she is especially passionate about helping nervous pets feel calm and safe during their visits. Olha strives to provide accurate, efficient support while maintaining a peaceful environment for both pets and their owners.

    Outside of work, Olha enjoys spending time in nature, photography, and continuing to learn more about animal behavior and biology.

  • Jill - Receptionist

    Jill has been with us at the Addison Animal Hospital since 2005.  She earned her Bachelor's degree in Child Psychology at Illinois State University and worked for many years at Lutherbrook Children's Center as a child care worker and a case worker. She has contributed in many ways to our clinic, including reception, technician and other office duties.

    In 2011, Jill helped found The Unity in Community, and continues to serve as a board member as well as organizing charity events and fundraisers. She also enjoys reading, soccer, and spending time with her husband and 3 kids.
