  • Baljinder Sighn Chouhan, DVM, Owner

    Dr. Singh earned his degree in Veterinary Medicine in India in 2004. After moving to the United States, he continued his dedication to serving both people and animals by joining the U.S. Army. He began his military career on active duty as an Animal Care Specialist (MOS 68T) before later transitioning to the Army Reserve. In 2014, he completed his PAVE certification at Iowa State University and began practicing as a small animal veterinarian, providing compassionate and high-quality care to pets and their families.

    With over a decade of veterinary experience, Dr. Singh has developed a strong interest and expertise in soft tissue surgery, emergency and critical care, internal medicine, dentistry, and preventive wellness care for pets of all life stages. From puppies and kittens to senior companions, he is dedicated to providing thorough diagnostics, effective treatment plans, and gentle patient care while ensuring every pet feels comfortable and supported.

    In 2019, Dr. Singh received his commission in the U.S. Army Veterinary Corps and proudly served on deployment to Kuwait in 2022, supporting missions throughout Jordan, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and Oman. He has also served as a Public Health Veterinarian with the USDA/FSIS, furthering his commitment to animal health, public health, and food safety.

    Outside of the hospital, Dr. Singh enjoys spending time with his wife and children, staying active, and exploring the outdoors through hiking, biking, and trap shooting. His dedication to veterinary medicine, service, and compassionate care make him an important part of the Addison Animal Hospital team.

  • Alan J Stocks, DVM

    Dr. Stocks earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine after completing three years in the pre-veterinary program at the University of Arkansas. Following graduation, he began his career at a 24-hour emergency practice, where he gained valuable experience handling a wide variety of emergency and critical care cases.

    He later worked at two sister veterinary clinics for more than eight years, where he continued to expand his medical knowledge and significantly developed his surgical skills. After a brief period of relief work, Dr. Stocks reached a major milestone in his career when he purchased Addison Animal Hospital in May 2005.

    For over 20 years, Dr. Stocks dedicated himself to providing compassionate, high-quality veterinary care to the Addison community and growing the hospital into the practice it is today. In April 2026, Dr. Stocks transitioned into a new chapter by selling Addison Animal Hospital to Dr. Chouhan, ensuring the continued care and commitment to the patients and families who have trusted the hospital for generations.

    Dr. Stocks is a member of the CVMA, ISVMA, AVMA, and AAHA. He is an avid sports fan and, outside of the hospital, enjoys spending his free time golfing, exercising, boating, and fishing.

  • Margaret - Practice Manager

    Margaret has been a dedicated member of the Addison Animal Hospital team for over 25 years. Her journey with the hospital began when she worked alongside the original owner, Dr. McLain, for five years. She continued her commitment to the practice when Dr. Stocks acquired the hospital and remained an important part of the team through the transition to new ownership with Dr. Chouhan in April 2025.

    In 2023, Margaret graduated from Harper College with her Associate’s Degree in Business Administration. She is currently exploring the Practice Management program through Penn Foster as she continues to expand her knowledge and pursue her goal of becoming a certified practice manager.

    Margaret has always had a passion for animals and enjoys being part of a team that provides compassionate care to pets and their families. Her years of experience, dedication, and love for the veterinary field have made her an invaluable part of Addison Animal Hospital.

    Outside of work, Margaret enjoys gardening, reading, writing, and spending time with her two sons, Owen and Luke. She also enjoys caring for her many pets, and with her full house of animals, there is never a dull moment. She hopes to continue doing what she loves—helping animals and supporting their families—for many years to come.

    Jorge - Senior Veterinary Technician

    Jorge has been a dedicated member of the Addison Animal Hospital team as a veterinary technician since 2007. His passion for animal care began in 1992 when he started working in the veterinary field at the Anti-Cruelty Society in Chicago. He later continued expanding his experience at Blum Animal Hospital, also in Chicago, where he spent 10 years providing compassionate care to animals and their families.

    With decades of experience in veterinary medicine, Jorge brings extensive knowledge, skill, and a genuine love for helping animals. He is fluent in both English and Spanish, allowing him to connect with and support a diverse range of clients and their pets.

    Outside of the hospital, Jorge enjoys spending time with his wife, Trisha, whom he married in August 2016, and their two daughters. Life at home is always busy with his children and his canine companions, Jasmine and Julian. Along with their chickens Daisy and Peach. 

    A true lover of nature and wildlife, Jorge enjoys spending time outdoors, including visiting the dog park, fishing, and camping. His compassion extends beyond household pets—over the years, he has helped rescue and provide care for many wildlife animals, including squirrels, geese, snakes, rabbits, frogs, and owls, by bringing them to wildlife rehabilitation centers.

    Jorge’s years of experience, dedication to animal welfare, and compassionate approach make him an invaluable part of the Addison Animal Hospital team.

  • Jessica- Veterinary Technician

    Jessica is a friendly, hardworking person with a big love for animals and a goal of going to veterinary school in the future. She enjoys being outdoors—whether she’s hiking, exploring new places, or just hanging out in the sunshine. She also loves traveling and is always excited to discover new places, cultures, and experiences.

    Whether she’s out in nature or on the road, you can usually find her with a camera in hand. Photography is one of her favorite ways to unwind and capture the things she loves, especially nature, animals, and the places she visits.

    Jessica brings a positive attitude, curiosity, and a love for learning to everything she does. She completed her undergraduate studies at Loyola University Chicago and went on to earn her MBA from Louisiana State University, accomplishments that reflect her dedication and drive. She’s always excited for new opportunities that help her grow and work toward her dream of becoming a vet.

  • Gabi - Receptionist/Veterinary Assistant

    Gabriella is a Veterinary Assistant and Receptionist at Addison Animal Hospital and has been a valued member of our team since January 2025. A lifelong animal lover, Gabi has a deep passion for caring for animals and enjoys building relationships with both patients and clients.

    At home, Gabi shares her life with three dogs, a horse named Heidi, a bunny named Bonnie, and a flock of chickens. Her love for animals extends beyond the hospital and continues to inspire her goals in veterinary medicine.

    Gabi is currently pursuing her Associate of Science degree at the College of DuPage and plans to continue her education by transferring to a university to earn her bachelor’s degree. She is bilingual in English and Polish, allowing her to connect with and support a diverse range of clients and their pets.

    Outside of work, Gabi enjoys traveling, reading, baking, spending time with family, and riding horses. Her passion for animals, dedication to learning, and caring personality make her a wonderful addition to the Addison Animal Hospital team.

  • Jill - Receptionist

    Jill has been with us at the Addison Animal Hospital since 2005.  She earned her Bachelor's degree in Child Psychology at Illinois State University and worked for many years at Lutherbrook Children's Center as a child care worker and a case worker. She has contributed in many ways to our clinic, including reception, technician and other office duties.

    In 2011, Jill helped found The Unity in Community, and continues to serve as a board member as well as organizing charity events and fundraisers. She also enjoys reading, soccer, and spending time with her husband and 3 kids.

    McKayla has been a valued member of our team since September 2025. One of her favorite parts of working at the hospital is spending her days helping clients, interacting with patients, and learning about the many ways we can improve the health and well-being of the animals in our care.

    McKayla is always eager to learn something new, take on challenges, and help solve problems whenever she can. Her positive attitude, dedication to growth, and willingness to help make her a wonderful addition to our team.

    Outside of work, McKayla enjoys reading, playing video games, and exploring various arts and crafts projects. She also loves spending time outdoors, whether it’s enjoying nature or taking walks around her neighborhood.

  • Cindy-Veterinary Technician

    Cindy is a kind-hearted and compassionate veterinary technician who has been a valued member of the Addison Animal Hospital team since Fall 2016. Her passion for animal care began in 2014 through volunteer work at the DuPage Wildlife Center (formerly Willowbrook Wildlife Center). She went on to become a seasonal Wildlife Keeper for two years, where she gained hands-on experience caring for injured and orphaned wildlife and helping prepare them for release back into their natural habitats.

    Cindy earned her Associate Degree in Science from the College of DuPage in 2015, with a major in Biology. Her dedication to continued learning and her love for animals have made her an important part of our team.

    Outside of work, Cindy enjoys spending time with her family, especially her two young children, Isabella and Matteo. She shares her home with Penelope, the former Addison Animal Hospital cat, three box turtles, and a fish.

    In her free time, Cindy enjoys reading, traveling, attending concerts, and spending time outdoors.

  • Jasmine-Veterinary Assistant

    Meet Jasmine

    Jasmine graduated from the College of DuPage in 2025, earning her Veterinary Assistant Certificate, and is currently working toward completing her certification to become a pharmacy technician. Through her studies, Jasmine developed an understanding of not only the science behind animal health, but also the compassion, patience, and calm presence needed to support pets and their families.

    Jasmine has gained valuable experience in several roles, reflecting her hardworking, adaptable, and empathetic nature. She values patience, understanding, and clear communication in everything she does. While she may be a little shy at first, Jasmine builds meaningful connections once she feels comfortable. She believes kindness and steady communication help create trust—whether she is comforting a nervous patient, assisting a client, or working alongside her team to provide the best care possible.

    Outside of work and school, Jasmine enjoys discovering new music and exploring different artists and genres. She loves building figurines and creating new crafts, finding creativity and relaxation through hands-on projects. She is also a big movie enthusiast, enjoying a wide variety of genres, with horror movies holding a special place as her favorite.

    Jasmine’s dedication to learning, compassionate approach, and passion for helping others make her a wonderful addition to the Addison Animal Hospital team.
